Daily Thought — “God Hands Us the Ball Again”

Ethan: College teaches you a lot, but the biggest lesson so far is that God is generous with second chances. I’ve messed up assignments, friendships, and prayer commitments. Yet every morning, God hands me a fresh start. Mercy isn’t just forgiveness — it’s God saying, “Let’s try again.” And honestly, that keeps me going.

Jacob: I needed a second chance today after I missed the game-winning shot. I was mad at myself until Dad said, “You’ll get another one.” That’s basically how God works too. He doesn’t cancel us when we mess up. He hands us the ball again.

    This daily thought is very powerful brother. It shows us how God hands us the ball and says " lets try that again". It is those second, third, and fourth chances were we see God's mercy the most.

    I remember thinking to myself God has given me many chances but he is always there right beside me and I am feeling his love to be successful in making that shot or overcoming that sin.
