CMO 105: The 2025 Christmas Letter

🎄 Christmas Letter to My Friends

Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas! Today is a big day — the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who stepped into our world not with fanfare or force, but with humility, tenderness, and love. Christmas reminds us that God comes close, not in power, but in vulnerability and presence. And that changes everything.

As I look back on this year, I’m struck by how deeply God has been at work in my life — sometimes loudly, but more often in quiet, unexpected ways. This has been a year of learning, stretching, and rediscovering what truly matters. I’ve been reminded again and again of the gift of friendship — the kind that listens, encourages, and walks beside you even when the road gets uneven. I’ve also been reminded that life is richer when we choose service with love, when we practice faith with conviction, and when we embrace humility as a way of life rather than a momentary posture.

Good neighborliness has taken on new meaning for me this year. It’s easy to talk about kindness, compassion, and faith… but much harder to live them consistently. And yet, that’s exactly what Jesus calls us to do. Christmas is not just a celebration — it’s a commissioning. It’s a reminder that we are not meant to be people who speak faith with our lips but fail to embody it with our lives. The world doesn’t need more religious talk. It needs more quiet, steady, lived-out love.

So as we celebrate the birth of Christ, I want to offer both a blessing and a challenge.

My blessing: May the Child of Bethlehem fill your heart with peace, your home with warmth, and your days with grace. May His humility inspire your steps, His love shape your choices, and His light guide your path.

My challenge: Let’s not let Christmas end when the decorations come down. Let’s carry its spirit into the new year. Let’s be people who serve with joy, forgive with sincerity, listen with compassion, and love with intention. Let’s be neighbors who show up. Friends who stay present. Believers who live what we profess.

Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for the ways you’ve encouraged, supported, and inspired me. I’m grateful for you — today and always.

Merry Christmas, dear friends. May Christ be born in us anew.

With love and gratitude,

Carlos
